Dean Stephen K. Young Nominee for 2012 ADEA President-elect

Members of the ADEA House of Delegates will vote for ADEA's next President-elect at the 2012 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. The ADEA Board of Directors has accepted the recommendation of the ADEA Nominating Committee and slated as the candidate for 2012-13 ADEA President-elect, Stephen K. Young, D.D.S., M.S., Dean of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. 

 

"I am deeply honored by your decision to nominate me for the position of President-elect of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). The Association has played a critical role in my academic development and career. If elected, I will strive to bring the rewarding experiences I have had to a new generation of dental, allied, and advanced program faculty members."

The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine has established a new dual-degree program with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, adding a D.M.D./M.B.A. to its dual-degree options. The new program will enable select students to earn their D.M.D. and M.B.A. in 5 1/2 years, and will be an option for Penn Dental Medicine dual-degree applicants beginning in January 2012.
