COMING TO A CAMPUS NEAR YOU - FEBRUARY 2012!
The Tour for Diversity in Medicine (TDM), a project conceived by former medical student leaders, seeks to bring premedical enrichment activities to underrepresented minority undergraduate students in order to assist in the recognized need for the diversification of the health professions workforce. With its first tour, TDM will visit Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across five Southern states in order to educate and advise premedical students on the fundamentals of becoming physicians and dentists.
The sites for the inaugural TDM will be:
- Monday February 20, 2012 Hampton University, Hampton, VA
- Tuesday February 21, 2012 Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC
- Wednesday February 22, 2012 South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, SC
- Thursday February 23, 2012 Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, AL
- Friday February 24, 2012 Jackson State University, Jackson, MS
